About Me
Written from the perspective of a former intern at Live Nation Canada, gigs & grub seeks to provide an inside look into the life and evolution of music festivals.
My name is Mackenzie and I have always been passionate about music. This summer, I had the opportunity to intern at Live Nation Canada. Over the course of five months, I saw 43 concerts, five festivals and ate the best fish tacos of my life (thank you Rancho Relaxo!). Through Live Nation, I experienced these shows in a special way - because of my position and all-access pass, I got to see all the work put into each show to make it a spectacular event. Half of the night was spent backstage working, while the other half was spent watching the show in the best seats in the house.
From Drake bringing out surprise guests Kanye and Pharrell at OVO Fest to Neil Young rocking the park at Wayhome, there were countless unforgettable memories that will make this summer hard to top (your move, 2016!).
Through gigs & grub I hope to share with you at least a little bit of of what I had this summer.
Enjoy!
